Storyline: When O'Neill looks into an alien device
during a mission, all the knowledge of the Ancients
(builders of the Stargate network) is downloaded into
his brain. Soon, he's losing even the ability to think
and write except in the language of the Ancients.
Shippy Moment: (I want to be alone...) Daniel's
ability as the only one who can translate the language
of the Ancients, and Janet's temporary job as
'baby-sitter' while he's not around provides for some
nice moments between Janet and Daniel, as they're the
only one's almost constantly around Jack. It also
allows for a particularly cute double act, not least
while Jack works on plans for the DHD:
Janet: {low whisper, leaning closer to Daniel} What's
he doing?
Daniel: {confused} I...I don't know...
Janet: Well, do you think it'll help?
Daniel: I...I really...really don't know...
{Jack writes something down pushes the piece of paper
towards them. Daniel retrieves it, and as Janet raises
a questioning eyebrow, reads aloud...}
