Send us the fic to djarchivers@yahoo.com, preferably as a text file (.txt), but we'll accept word documents as well (.doc). In the body of the e-mail, or at the start of the fic, please include the following information:
TITLE: Self explanatory
AUTHOR: Self explanatory
E-MAIL: Self explanatory
STATUS: Complete/Incomplete/Part 1 (etc) of 2 (etc)
CATEGORY: D/J, S/J, drama, humour etc
RATING: G/PG-13/R/NC-17 etc
SPOILERS: Any spoilers for episodes that the reader may not have seen
SEASON/SEQUEL: What season the fic takes place in and if it's a sequel to anything and or if a sequel is coming later
SUMMARY: Self explanatory

CONTENT WARNING: If the fic includes character death, it is a good idea to give the reader a good warning beforehand, since many people won't read character death and would be very unhappy if they weren't warned about it before reading a fic
AUTHOR'S NOTES: Any notes you would like included with the fic
FEEDBACK: An entirely optional category, usually dedicated to begging for feedback :)
What are the ratings and which one is my fic?
Well, basically:
G: This is a fic which contains nothing in theme, language, nudity and sex, violence, etc. which would be offensive to parents whose younger children view the film.
Some snippets of language may go beyond polite conversation but they are common everyday expressions. No stronger words are present in G-rated fics. The violence is at a minimum. Nudity and sex scenes are not present; nor is there any drug use content.
PG: The label PG plainly states that parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children. There may be some profanity in these fics. There may be some violence or brief nudity. There is no crug use content in a PG rated fic.
PG-13 : A PG-13 fic is one which goes beyond the boundaries of the PG rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, or other contents, but does not quite fit within the restricted R category. Any drug use content will initially require at least a PG-13 rating.
If nudity is sexually oriented, the fic will generally not be PG-13. If violence is too rough or persistent, the film goes into the R (restricted) rating. A film's single use of one of the harsher sexually-derived words, though only as an expletive, means at least a PG-13 rating. More than one such expletive gives a fic an R rating.
R: An R-rated fic may include hard language, or tough violence, or nudity within sensual scenes, or drug abuse or other elements, or a combination of some of the above.
NC-17: The fic contains violence or sex or aberrational behavior or drug abuse or any other elements which, when present, most parents would consider too strong and therefore off-limits for viewing by their children.

What is this "beta reading" I've seen mentioned?
Beta reading is basically editing, but for fanfics! A beta reader will read through your fic and fix up spelling, grammar and the general flow of a fic so that the end result is the best you can produce! A list of betas availible to you is located here, just remember that you should take note of any warnings/notes they've got next to their name and choose a beta willing to beta your kind of fic. It's also a good idea to e-mail the beta and ask them first rather than just send them the fic and tell them to beta it :)

Who are you people?
*sticks hand out* I'm Becca, I'm a ficaholic...oh wait, wrong group, nevermind! The other person mentioned around the place is Bryn! (Kinda explains the e-mail address doesn't it :)) We do most of the work here, archiving the fics and stuff, so all comments about what great work we're doing should be directed to bryn.and.becca@moose-mail.com ;)

Geez, Boo, don't make it sound like a *bad* thing. Emailing us really isn't scary or traumatic or life-altering as you may have heard. Really, it isn't. ... Well, ok, maybe life-altering, because we are just that cool! :)

Yeah!!! We're always looking for more pictures of Danny, Janet, and the two of them together! Desktop wallpapers are also welcomed! Just e-mail them to bryn.and.becca@moose-mail.com or djarchivers@yahoo.com (there's that e-mailing thing again... ;))

Are you insane, or do we need to shoot you? Daniel and SAM?!?!?! That is just -wrong-! Incest! Nope, nope. You must ask the author's of any stories you wish to link to or archive. They're not ours, we just feed 'em and give 'em a place to live :) E-mailing us will get you nowhere, this time :)

Yell at us! :) All you have to do is e-mail us, telling us where the broken link is (just saying: 'Yo! You've got a broken link! Fix it!' doesn't work We may be supercool, but we're not psychic... yet) and we'll fix it right up :)
Are there any sorts of fic you won't accept?
Well, this -is- the DJA, so if the fic doesn't have any D/J content in it, we won't accept it, but anything else is fine so long as it's appropriately rated, and warned, for it's content :)
Will you accept fics written in other languages?
Sure :) Same guidlines as for fics in english, to read them scroll up right to the question about submitting fics.
