Unforgettable, that's what you are. No matter how hard I try, you're always there in my mind, though I avoid you like I would the plague, if I weren't a doctor, dedicated to saving people.
I wonder why I couldn't save you, save our relationship. What we had was...perfect. At the start, anyway. The fire I felt when you left has gone, so I'm thankful for that. Ice has taken its place, though, and I can't see you without shivering and feeling the slow, cold burn of ice. The open menace in your gaze frightens, and the love I felt for you, and still feel, is suppressed briefly by the ice slowly creeping over it. Though faster than a glacier moves, this slow, icy death is torture.
Despite this animosity you show, I'll never stop loving you, never stop wishing we could go back to what was. I know you wish it too...why else would you give me those wistful looks when you think I'm not watching? But I watch, I always do. Despite that I have no ties to you now, nothing to give me a reason to watch over you, I do. A guardian angel of sorts, I guess, one whose watchfulness is never thanked. You'll never know I'm watching, but I'll keep an eye on you for as long as we both live.
You're unforgettable, and forevermore that's how you'll stay.
