Oh, how I hate you, Daniel, let me count the ways...
I hate the way you can make my heart flutter without even doing
anything more than smile.
I hate that you don't even notice me beyond an absent smile every now
and then.
I hate the way you make those puppy-dog eyes, then expect me not to
fall for you.
I hate how cute you are when you're injured and thankful that I'm
making it all better so you can return to your precious artefacts.
I hate your dedication to your work, because it leaves you peacefully
oblivious to most of the rest of the world.
I hate how perfect our friends say we look together, because they don't
know that you feel nothing towards me.
I hate that you consider me a friend you can count on when times look
bad.
I hate that, whenever you call, it's always about work, or how much you
feel you've failed somehow by not saving the ones you love.
I hate that you hold my heart in your hand, and don't even know it's
there.
But most of all, I hate that no matter how hard I try, I don't hate you
at all.
I couldn't hate you, because of all the above reasons, and more. They
only serve to further endear yourself to me, and I find myself falling
deeper and deeper in love with you.
