AUTHOR'S NOTES: At the beginning, I was not planning to write
a sequel to "I'm already there." But I just love the song "L'amour
existe encore," and I thought it could make a good song for a happy
sequel to "I'm already there."
The song "L'amour existe encore" is originally in French, but I
translated it. So, the lyrics you have here are my humble translation
of the wonderful lyrics of "L'amour existe encore".
The // means lyrics from the song, and ` ' means Janet's thoughts.

LOVE STILL EXISTS
Janet's radio-alarm turned on, waking her. She opened her eyes, and,
for a moment, she thought that she was still dreaming. But no, this
was real. She was not hallucinating. Daniel was resting besides her,
and he had an arm around her.
As Janet looked at Daniel, she considered what had happened during
the last year.
At the beginning of that year, Daniel and Janet had started a
romantic relationship together. It had been the time of their lives,
for both of them. But then, tragedy struck and separated them. For a
long time after that, Janet lost all hope to be reunited again with
Daniel.
That is, until yesterday.
Janet was in her office, working on some report. Then, she heard the
alarms turning on, announcing that the Stargate had activated.
Something told Janet that this was important, so she rushed to see
what was going on. She was in for a shock. There was Daniel,
standing up in the ramp leading to the gate. But contrary to his
other visits, this time, Daniel was human again. Janet remembered
that Orlin was able to do it, and it seemed like Daniel was able to
do it now.
Once the initial shock gone, Dr. Warner and Janet performed some
tests on Daniel. The tests confirmed that Daniel was in perfect
health, and that there was nothing to worry about.
Janet was brought back from her thoughts when Daniel moved slightly
on the bed. Janet looked at the clock, and smiled. General Hammond
had made it clear. Janet didn't have to rush to work today. She could
even take a day off, if she wanted. Janet smiled at this idea. Maybe
she would indeed take the day off.
That's when a song started playing on the radio.
// When I am resting against your body
// Then, there is no doubt in my mind
// Love still exists
Janet looked at Daniel, who was still sleeping calmly. After Daniel's
ascension, Janet never thought that she would wake up in his arms
again…
// All those hard times
// I will gladly forget them forever
// If I can rest against your body once more.
In the last months, Janet lived through really hard times. She loved
Daniel, and even though she understood why he had sacrificed himself,
it was still hard to be separated from him.
But now, those hard times were gone for good.
// I am afraid of the loneliness
// waiting for me somewhere along the road
// but I will gladly ignore it
`Daniel came back to me. He was able to become human again, just
like Orlin did. I don't have to be alone anymore. Now it is time to
look towards the future. Our future together,' thought Janet.
// To love you once and for all
// To love you no matter what
// Against the evil running around,
// killing love.
'Yes, Daniel, I will love you no matter what. I have always loved
you, and always will.'
Janet remembered all the moments they had shared together. For her,
they were more important than anything else.
// When I am resting against your body
// Then, there is no doubt in my mind
// Love still exists
Carefully, Janet rested her head against Daniel's chest. She could
listen to his heart beating, and she could listen the soft sound of
his breathing. He was alive, that was for sure. Janet smiled, and
thought that she loved him more and more every day.
// Love still exists….
'Yes, love still exists' she thought, smiling.
// We were not even on the same side
`We were on two different sides. You were dead, Daniel. And I was
alive. That's as far as we could get from each other.'
// But, we don't care about it anymore
`But our separation doesn't matter anymore, since you're here again
with me.'
// Who can say who is right, who is wrong?
`That's right. We could fight over and over about the reasons for
your sacrifice. But that's not the thing to do, right now. We just
have to enjoy and cherish each moment we spend together.'
// The world is lead by crazy people
`… And that is not only the case of our world. There are many worlds
out there, which are lead by crazy people. This is one of the things
that travelling through the Stargate has shown us. I suppose the Nox
were right: the very young don't always do as they are told…'
// But, my love, it is only up to us
// To love each other more and more
Janet smiled, knowing this to be true. This was THEIR love. Nobody
else but them could make it grow.
// Beyond the violence
// Beyond the craziness and stupidity
// Even when bombs explode
// All around the world.
`And I can think about some examples of all those horrible, terrible
things.'
She couldn't help it, but think about the bomb that killed Daniel on
Colona…
`But, Daniel, I'll love you beyond all that." Janet caressed his
arm, enjoying the feeling of his skin.
// When I am resting against your body
// Then, there is no doubt in my mind
// Love still exists
"What are you doing, my love?" asked Daniel, opening his eyes and
smiling at her.
// Love still exists
"Just looking at you, which I haven't done in a long time," answered
Janet.
// Love still exists
Daniel smiled once again, and Janet smiled back.
// Just to love you once and for all
// Just to love you no matter what,
// Against the evil running around,
// killing love.
Daniel approached his lips towards Janet's lips, and kissed her.
"I love you," Daniel whispered to her.
"Me too," she whispered back. Then, she kissed him.
// When I am resting against your body
// Then, there is no doubt in my mind
// Love still exists
Soon, Daniel and Janet were lost in each other. They knew that their
love still existed, and will exist forever.
