got so inspired that I had to write. This is unrelated to my current

She outstretched an arm and gently hit warm, solid flesh. Her lips curved,
even though her eyes were still closed and her mind fogged. She ran her
hand over the flesh, not caring where it was that she was rubbing. She
loved every inch of his skin.
It was so nice, she thought dreamily. So nice to wake up with sun's first
rays warming her skin - the skin that wasn't already warm from contact
with his body.
It amazed her every day, every time they made love, that someone she'd
known so long, someone whose life and psyche were so deeply ingrained in
her soul, could still be so exciting, could seem so new and dangerous and
familiar and peaceful at the same time.
He was beautiful.
She stilled her hand, let it rest gently against his skin. Her breathing
was regular as she simply lay beside him.
The passage of time seemed irrelevant as she absorbed the feeling of being
still and calm with him, absorbed the tangible feeling of his presence.
The whole world seemed simple and tranquil and right.
She didn't want to get out of bed.
