Fun in the Sun

Fun in the Sun…

"Come on Carter, it'll be fun!" Colonel Jack O'Neill said to his 2IC, Major Samantha Carter.

"Sir, going to Hawaii? If only.. I can't even afford the plane trip!" Sam replied.

"Already taken care of Carter. Hammond said the government is paying for everything! They think since we saved the world and all they owe it to us. Plus this is going to be a engagement party for Daniel and Janet." Jack said, smiling.

"Really?! Oh well then count me in!" Sam said, enthusiastically.

"Good Carter, the plane leaves tomorrow be there or be square." Jack said.

"I will sir." Carter said, heading off to get packed.


"WELCOME TO HAWAII!" Jack yelled when they reached their hotel.

"Sirs, Ma'am's I can take you to your rooms now." A bellhop said as he walked up to the group.

"Thank you." Daniel said, putting his arm around Janet.

"Oh god Danny! Can't you at least wait till you two get up to your room?" Jack asked sarcastically.

"Hmmmm well Jack I don't know.. she is irresistible.." Daniel said looking over at his fiancé and kissing her lightly.

"Ohhh this looks so peaceful sir." Sam said, as they walked out on the beach, Sam in her bathing suit with a sarong and Jack in a pair of board shorts and a tee.

Jack stared into the sunset as Sam laid out a blanket and sat down on it. `Maybe I should tell her how I really feel.' He thought, looking briefly back at Sam.

"Sit down and relax, Colonel. I don't bite." Sam said, smiling at him.

"Oh but I do." Jack said under his breath.

"Excuse me sir?" Sam said.

"Nothing… call me Jack, and maybe we should talk." Jack said, sitting down right next to her.

"Okay, Jack." Sam leaned back and propped her head on her hand, smiling as Jack mimicked her actions so that they were face to face.

Sam got lost in Jack's dark brown eyes and slowly leaned forward.

Just as their lips were about to touch, Jack whispered "I love you" Which made Sam kiss him even more fiercely. Their bodies rolled together on the blanket.

They broke apart quickly when they heard a sharp gasp behind them. Jack turned his head to see a Major in Sg-5 and a Dr. in Sg-3.

"Major!" Jack yelped, jumping up from the blanket to look Major McCloud right in the eyes. "You didn't see anything! You got that, Major?" He continued.

"See what sir? I figure if I saw anything then you would tell General Hammond that you saw something with me and Marita… So I won't tell if you don't tell, sir." Major McCloud said looking right into Jack's eyes.

"Deal." Jack said, "Why don't we go back to the hotel… Get some sleep.. this engagement party starts early…" Jack said taking Sam's hand and lifting her off the blanket.


The next day was to put it lightly, hectic. Everyone was rushing around trying to make everything perfect for the engagement party that night. Practically all of the SGC were there, Airman's and Staff Sergeants, a few higher ranks too.

Sam was trying to get everyone situated around when Jack came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Hi" He whispered in her ear.

"Hi" she replied back.

"Ready for our speeches?" Jack asked as she turned around in his arms.

"Always, I'm not the one with the problems when it comes to speeches…" Sam said leaning up and kissing his nose.

"Hey… that was not my fault, it would've been longer if Thor hadn't zapped me up to his ship." Jack said before he captured her lips in a passionate kiss.

"MOM! DANIEL! Come quick! Sam and Jack are kissing!" Cassie yelled from a few feet away, making Sam and Jack release their embrace.

"Cass, what are you yelling about?" Daniel said, walking into the room with his arm around Janet's waist. He looked at his soon to be daughter then over at Sam and Jack, puzzled. He noticed their flustered faces and guess what was going on. He looked at Janet and noticed that she guessed the same thing.

"Cass wasn't yelling… she just wanted to show you how she folded the napkins. Right Cassie?" Sam said rushing over to Cass, picking up the napkin in front of her and covering Cassie's mouth with it. "Mmmhmm" Cassie said, agreeing.


A HOUR LATER:

Everyone was in their seats and dinner was being served. The scenery was beautiful, it was an outside dinner with candles everywhere. Sam, Janet and a few of the other bridesmaids were in simple dresses with the men not in their uniforms but in simple dress down shirts and blazers.

Jack tapped lightly on the side of his glass with a fork and stood, preparing to say his speech.

"Okay I am not going to start until I am sure that I will not be interrupted." He started, looking up around the sky, getting a quick laugh from everyone.

"Well I guess it is safe to start. To Daniel and Janet, may my life be as simple and full of love as yours are. Well that pretty much sums it up. I'm done.. Sam?" Jack said, sitting down.

Sam stood and smiled at Jack. "Unlike Jack I will speak for longer than 10 seconds. To Janet and Daniel, you guys are the best friends a girl could ask for, and I only hope your love carries through all and you will be the best together. Remember, if you put your hearts together you can do anything." Sam said, before taking her seat also.

"Ahem.. well I guess I will go next." Staff Sgt. Stu said, "Dr. Jackson was the first guy that actually talked to me when I got transferred to the base. I hope for the best for both of you. Congratulations." He took his seat next to his wife Linz.

After the dinner was over Janet and Daniel got a lot of congratulations from people such as Tech. Sgt. Mel, Major McCloud, Senior Airman Ann, Airman 1st Class Pepsi, and other personal from the SGC…

Later that evening Janet and Daniel decided to have the wedding there in Hawaii.

During the ceremony Jack stood beside a very nervous Daniel and smiled as Sam walked down the isle in a light blue long gown, followed by Lt. Dixon who was in the same dress, smiling. A few seconds later she was followed by Janet, who was in her wedding dress.

The wedding went off with out a hitch, everything was perfect and at the reception dinner, Jack and Sam announced their new found love. And to much of their surprise, everyone already knew or guessed it.
