I can only watch as they lead her to her death, eyes filling with
hopeless tears, but they’re the only thing I can offer her now. I
tried…tried to get around this in any way I could, even going as far as
to offer myself instead of her, but I failed. Failed, and now I pay the
price. Her life is forfeit for my mistakes, and I’ll never forgive
myself for that. Never.
She looks at me, eyes filling with tears, and I meet her gaze, not
asking forgiveness, I’ll never ask that when I know her death is my
doing, instead I show her love - the love I have for her, the love that
I will never let die.
Goodbye, my angel, know that I will always hold you close to my heart,
in my dreams, and in my prayers.
